This Privacy Policy explains how Chie Rose Coaching ("I," "me," or "my") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit my website, book a discovery call, download a free resource, subscribe to The Career Journal, or become a coaching client.
This policy applies to everyone who interacts with my coaching services. whether you are a casual visitor reading an article, someone who has downloaded a free template, or an active coaching client.
A note on trust
As a coach, I work with sensitive career and personal information every day. I treat your data with the same care I would want for my own, that is the standard this policy is built around, not the minimum legal requirement.
Information I collect
I collect different types of information depending on how you interact with my website and services. Here is exactly what I collect and why:
Name & email: Booking a call, downloading a resource, newsletter signup to contact you and deliver what you requested.
Job title & industry: Discovery call booking form to prepare for our conversation and tailor advice.
Career details you share: During coaching sessions or form submissions to provide relevant, personalized coaching.
Payment information: Purchasing a coaching program processed securely by Stripe. I never store card details.
LinkedIn URL: If voluntarily shared on the booking form to review your profile before our call.
Website usage data: Automatically, when you browse the site to understand what content is useful and improve the site.
How I use your information
I use the information I collect only for clear, specific purposes:
To respond to your discovery call request and schedule our conversation
To deliver coaching services, including preparing for sessions and following up afterward
To send you free resources you have requested, such as templates or checklists
To send The Career Journal newsletter: If you have subscribed, you can unsubscribe at any time
To process payments for coaching programs through our payment processor
To improve my website and content based on what visitors find useful
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties under any circumstances. I am not in the business of monetizing client data. I am in the business of coaching careers.
Coaching session confidentiality
What you share with me during coaching sessions your career history, personal struggles, salary details and workplace concerns is treated as confidential. I do not discuss the specifics of any client's situation with anyone else, including other clients, without your explicit permission.
If I ever want to reference your story publicly (for example, as a case study or testimonial), I will ask for your written permission first and let you review exactly how it will be presented, including whether your name is used or the example is anonymized.
Important limit
As an ICF-certified coach, I am bound by professional ethics around confidentiality. However, coaching is not a legally privileged relationship the way therapy or legal counsel is. If you share information suggesting a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, I may need to take appropriate action.
Cookies and website analytics
My website uses a small number of cookies to function properly and to understand how visitors use the site. These fall into three categories:
Essential cookies: required for the website to work properly, such as remembering your form progress
Analytics cookies: help me understand which pages and articles are most useful, so I can improve the site
Preference cookies: remember choices you have made, such as dismissing a banner

How long I keep your data
I keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe
Coaching client records are kept for the duration of our work together plus 3 years, for professional record-keeping purposes
Discovery call booking information is kept for 12 months if we do not proceed to coaching, then deleted
Payment records are retained as required by tax and accounting law, typically 7 years
You can request earlier deletion of your data at any time, as described in the next section, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
Children's privacy
My coaching services and website are intended for working professionals and are not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided me with personal information, please contact me and I will delete it promptly.
International visitors
I work with clients across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and beyond. If you are visiting from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be processed and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other regions with specific data protection regulations, I aim to honor the rights granted under those frameworks, including the rights outlined in Section 8 above.
Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in my practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When I make material changes, I will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify active clients and newsletter subscribers directly via email.
